Set of fifteen assorted porcelain weights for scales, 1936-40.
The set varies in nominations from 2 to 100 grams and in years of manufacture from 1936 to 1940, in glazed porcelain with the weight in grams marked on top, and year and class of precision on the side of each weight, under the glaze. Traces of quality control stamps are still visible on the bottom.
In excellent condition, showing just tiny pale "pockmarks", most of them under the glaze, not too obvious or detractive. The side stamps and weight nominations are clear and perfectly legible.
Porcelain weights were made no higher than second precision class, and were mostly used

Porcelain weights were made no higher than second precision class, and were mostly used for training and wherever high precision was not required. They were a cheap alternative to metal weights.
