Medal for Meritorious Labor during the Great Patriotic War, Variation 1, circa 1945-47.
In copper; measures 37.2 mm in height incl. eyelet, 32.2 mm wide; weighs 17.3 g without the suspension and connecting link. Features a separate eyelet soldered to the medallion.
In outstanding, excellent condition. The raised details are perfect and exceptionally crisp on both sides. There are a few minuscule dings to the raised edge that are nearly unnoticeable to the naked eye, no other wear visible without magnification. The mint luster is intact and fully present throughout, having just a couple of tiny oxidation spots that do not detract, no blemishes or significant tarnish.

Includes an original early post-war suspension device, a two-layer model in steel with an integral catch of the pin. The old, probably original ribbon is perfectly preserved and clean. The connecting link appears to be of the period. To summarize, this is a superb example of the Variation 1 "Home Front" medal.
