Morocco, Order of Quissam Alaouite, Type 2, 1st class, Grand Officer Breast Star, hallmarked and maker marked.
Silver gilt, enamels, 79.0 mm in height, 79.4 mm in width, weighs 60.5 g. Type 2 is defined by the uninscribed arms of the white star. Hallmarked with a boar's head on both the catch and pin denoting French manufacture of 900 silver, along with being maker marked "A.B. & Co" (Arthus Bertrand) on the pin. The centerpiece on the reverse shows the jeweler's full company name and address: "Arthus Bertrand, Cie, 46 Rue de Rennes, Paris."
In excellent condition, with light attractive patina on the silver accenting the relief of the star.

The Order of Quissam Alaouite (original name: l'Ordre du Alaouite Cherifien) was instituted in 1913 to be conferred by the King of Morocco upon
the military and civilians who had distinguished themselves in combat or performed meritorious service to the Moroccan state. The order is
awarded in five classes: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Knight.
