Illustrated with photos and reproductions of drawings and paintings made by famous Soviet Russian artists, starting with a lithographic color plate insert on the back of the flyleaf showing Lenin's profile. The book opens with Stalin's appeal to remember and honor Lenin's legacy published in the Rabochaya Gazeta ("Workers' Newspaper") on the first anniversary of Lenin's death, followed by a facsimile of its handwritten original, signed by Stalin. The front free endpaper features the ex libris stamp of the book's previous owner and his handwritten inscription, a humorous (?) disclaimer "Note! Just because this book is mine does not say I believe what is inside."
In very good to excellent condition, showing moderate wear to the dust jacket and minimal wear to the covers. The internal pages are pristine, just mildly and evenly age-toned. A most unusual edition worthy of a true collector's bookshelf.
