WW2 Photo of 5 Red Army Servicemen with PPSh Submachine Guns, inscribed to female relatives or friends, circa 1941-43.
Measures 3 ¼" x 2 ½", printed on matte cardboard photo paper. The servicemen in the photo are in winter gear. The one sitting wearing a scarf has an Order of the Red Star. The inscription on the verso, all but one word of which are misspelled, reads "In memory, to [three female names] from five war comrades".
In good to very good condition. The top right-hand corner is missing, the photo is slightly wrinkled, moderately soiled on both sides, and shows microscopic breaks to the emulsion, not easily noticeable when looking at it at the normal viewing angle. The image is in sharp foc
