Army Proficiency badge (for enlisted men), 1st class, circa late 1950s-1960s.

In brass and enamels; approx. 42 x 30 mm. Features pin back attachment and much nicer quality than the more recent issues in aluminum and paint. The reverse shows the raised early-style logo of the Pobeda Factory in Moscow.

Excellent condition. Shows storage age only; the enamel is free of chips, flaking or any other significant wear, having only occasional microscopic contact marks. Nicely preserved fire gilt finish.
