As stated in the handwritten note on the verso, this photo of sailor Tiberiy Bodnar (Тиберий Степанович Боднар) was presented to him on 1 May 1955 as an award in recognition of his excellent diligent service. The presentation bears the seal of the military unit and the hand signature of its commanding officer.

2. Certificate note given to senior sailor Tiberiy Bodnar confirming that he had served on active duty in military unit 39128 as a senior radio technician. The note was issued on 14 November 1956, and was probably part of Bodnar's discharge paperwork package.

In good condition. The paper of the photo is considerably wrinkled and shows a bit of soiling along the edges but the image is clear and in sharp focus. The ink on the archival entry on the verso is bright; there are a couple of small spots where it is slightly blurred, most likely due to exposure to water. However, the text is perfectly legible, and so is the seal of the military unit.

The paper of the certificate is rather frail, showing partial separations along the fold lines, easily repairable with library tape on the back, as it is blank and tape will not obscure anything. The ink stamp of the military unit, the seal, signature, and the date are quite legible, and so is the typewritten text.
