The verso makes this postcard interesting for a collector. The postcard was printed in 1955 but the caption, typographically printed in the lower left-hand corner, still says "Stalingrad", even though Khrushchev's processes of "de-Stalinization" had already begun. The handwritten message mentions the city by its 1962 name, Volgograd. The space-themed postal mark is dated 1961 and shows the post-1961 currency reform price of 3 kopeks.

In very good to excellent condition. The obverse shows minor corner bumps and creases, not too obvious or detractive. The handwritten message on the verso is dated 31 August 1962.
