Photo of a Red Army Decorated Captain taken in occupied Austria in November 1945.
Printed on cardboard textured matte photo paper, apparently in a professional photo studio. The verso has preprinted lines for using it as a postcard, with the postal stamp placeholder and an oval stamp "Real Photography" in German.
The photo shows a young captain in field uniform, wearing an Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War and the Victory over Germany medal.
The handwritten inscription on the verso says "To Dear Verochka from Z. Surpin, 26 Nov. 1945. Austria. Not everything in our life was good. The most important thing now is to meet, and then all will be

In excellent condition. No significant wear or damage or any kind. The bottom right-hand corner has a slight crease, not too obvious or detractive.
