The medal is in anodized aluminum, measures 74 mm wide. The obverse features the numeral 50 and intertwined wedding bands surrounded by an oak and laurel wreath. The reverse has the Soviet star at the top and the hammer and sickle at the bottom, leaving the middle frame blank perhaps for inscribing the happy pair's names and date of the golden jubilee.

The box is made of hard plastic, approx. 5" x 4" x 1". The fitted space for the medal and the inside of the lid are covered in synthetic felt. Loose inside the box is the original paper tag of a factory in the city of Kiev s

Both the medal and the box are in excellent condition, apparently unissued and showing only the storage age. The anodized gilt layer has preserved its full luster. There are no significant scratches, dents, dings or scuffs anywhere on the medal. The box is also in near-perfect condition inside and out.
