The verso is lined for three pairs of arrival - departure entries, left blank.

In very good condition, showing minor wear to the edges and fraying along the fold lines resulting in small areas of separation. The wear is not too intrusive to the eye, and does not have a significant effect on the physical integrity of the document.

2. Travel order pass issued on 15 November 1944.

Issued by the Financial Department of the Dnieper Naval Flotilla, Pinsk. The travel order prescribes Elena Litovkina to travel to the city of Kiev from 15 November to 5 December 1944. The reason is cited as "business assignment". Authorized by the Department Chief's order. The order is hand-signed in pencil by the Chief of the Rear of the Dnieper Naval Flotilla.

Similar to the first travel order, the three pairs of arrival - departure entries are left blank.

In very good condition, showing minor wear to the edges, small corner bumps and a crease at the upper right-hand corner which can be easily flattened out, if desired. The fold lines are slightly frayed but showing no separations.

We know from another travel permit issued to Elena Litovkina (Елена Семеновна Литовкина) on the very first day of the Great Patriotic War, that she was the wife of an officer who was serving on or near the USSR border in Belorussia. On that day, she was traveling by boat of the Pinsk Naval Flotilla to join her husband. Evidently, she survived the initial onslaught of the Blitzkrieg.
