Newspaper format measuring approx. 13" x 18", 8 pp. Published as a weekly journal of the Russkoye Slovo ("The Russian Word") newspaper. Russian text in the pre-1917 reform orthography which contains obsolete letters.

In fair to good condition. There is considerable wear - tears, fraying of edges, even some soiling, evident throughout the journal. However, all the wear is confined to the margins and does not affect the printed material, the text and imagery of which are bright, clear, and perfectly legible.

The issue covers entrance of Romania into WW1 on the side of the Entente (only to be crushed by late 1916), a high parliamentary delegation from Japan, and extolls the heroism of volunteers in the Russian Army, some of them children.
