Lot of three official press-release photo portraits of top Soviet Party and Government officials, circa 1970s-80s.
The photos measure 6 ½" x 9 ¾", b/w, printed on semi-gloss heavy-stock paper.
These photos represent "the last of the Mohicans" of the Soviet regime. All three were at the very pinnacle of the Party and Government apparatus when the Soviet Union was teetering on the brink of collapse. All three continued to occupy high posts in the new Russian government (food for thought and an excellent conversational point!)

Vladimir Shcherbitskiy (Владимир Васильевич Щербицкий, 1918 - 1990), Ukrainian, First Secretary of the CP of Ukraine, member of the Politburo from 1971 to 1989.
Nikolai Ryzhkov (Николай Иванович Рыжков, ), Russian, member of the Politburo from 1985 to 1990, the last Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
Yegor Ligachyov (Егор Кузьмич Лигачев, 1920 - 2021), Russian, member of the Politburo from 1985 to 1990, Secretary of the TsK of the CPSU.
The photos are in excellent, near-mint condition, showing just an occasional wrinkle or tiny corner bump.
