In this case, the map is drawn on the back of a German military topographic map of Russia, the segment covering the area to the south-east of Velikiye Luki and Nevel, Russian cities close to the border with Belorussia. In December of 1944, maps of this region were no longer of any use to the retreating Wehrmacht.

In excellent condition. There is no significant wear to the edges, or soiling to the paper. The multiple fold lines are not frayed, and there is just one tiny separation at one of the fold line intersections.
