In very fine to excellent condition. There are some small dings to the emperor's neck area, not too noticeable or detractive, while the raised details of the portrait and lettering remain extremely well-preserved and crisp. There is a single mild edge knock at approx. 7 o'clock but no significant bumps. The reverse is nearly pristine, with perfect details of the lettering and crown. The eyelet likewise shows no significant wear; its hallmarks are completely intact and legible.
The medal comes on a well-preserved St. Andrew ribbon which is of the period albeit probably not original to the medal. The makeshift
suspension in cardboard and connecting link are modern replacements.
