Intended for a Soviet factory guard, this holster is of better quality than a number of the different "ersatz" types we've seen that were issued in the 40s and the 50s. If you look in the excellent WW 2 reference book, Red Army Uniforms 1918 -1945 in Color Photographs , by Shalito et al, you will see a photo of the WW2 holster it was cloned from on page 184.

In near mint unissued condition. Shows only very mild storage age, no wear, stains or discoloration.
