Brass and enamels, 35.3 x 28.0 mm. This badge is very similar to another one issued for Stalin's 70th birthday in 1949, but has a hammer and sickle emblem replacing the numeral "70".

In very fine to excellent condition. The enamel is perfect. The central medallion with Stalin's bas-relief shows moderate wear but most details are still well defined. The screw post is full length, approx. 10 mm. The mint-marked screw plate is of the period and fits perfectly.
