Brass, paint; the medallion measures 34.3 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 30.0 mm in width. The obverse features the mythical horse Chollima (or Chkhollima) which possessed supernatural powers. The inscription on the red scroll is "People's Group Chollima", referring to the DPRK workers movement that started during the 60s and was modeled from the Soviet Stakhanovite movement. The "People's Groups" were basic cells of the movement organized by locality (rather than the enterprise or industry as the Soviet counterpart.) The reverse of the medallion has a raised inscription "Movement

In very fine to excellent condition. The paint is overall well-preserved, showing only very minor flaking. The details of the center medallion
are crisp and show no significant wear. Most of the original "gilt" mint luster is still present on both sides, having just a minimal amount
of tarnish. The pin attachment is intact. An uncommon relatively early piece.
