It was intended as a tool for political "educators" of the Soviet masses, guiding them in the upside-down inside-out interpretation of the recent history. This period covers the Golodomor famine forced by the Bolsheviks on the rural population, forced collectivization of the peasantry, exile and execution of the resisting population. The culmination of the set is the XVII Congress of the VKP(b), officially titled "The Congress of the Victors", more popularly known as "The Congress of the Executed" as about half of the delegates were executed or sent to GULAG prison camps, one of the early waves of Stalin's Great Purge of the 1930s.

Needless to say, the textual information as well as all the graphs, diagrams, drawings and photos in the posters present all aspects of this period as great successes, giant steps toward the bright future of communism under the leadership of the genius standing at the helm and tirelessly steering the country towards it.

The set is in very good to excellent condition. The cover of the folio shows moderate wear. However, all the wording is mostly wear-free, and the dual portrait cameo of Lenin and Stalin above it is completely intact. The posters are very clean and wear-free, showing just minor corner bumps as well as an occasional crease or faint fingerprint.
