Set of 16 color plates State Armory Museum of the Moscow Kremlin, Russian & English text, dated 1977.

The size is continental postcard standard 6" x 4" but the color plates are not mailable without an envelope. The set comes in its original cover sleeve. Published by PLANETA ("Planet") Publishers, Moscow. All the photos are the work of the same photographer, O. Tsesarskiy, whose name is printed on the back of each color plate. Sixteen of the most interesting and valuable exhibits from the Armory Museum of the Moscow Kremlin are presented in this set. Information about them is printed on the back in Russian and English. In addition, the set comes with a 4-page insert containing an essay

In excellent condition. The cover sleeve has acquired a small rip at the fold but other than that, does not show any wear or damage. The images on the color plates are without a blemish, the plates themselves showing only barely-there occasional top edge and/or corner bumps.

Since early Middle Ages, the Armory Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin has been used not only to store weaponry but also as the best-guarded treasury of the Muscovite tsars, holding their most valuable and treasured possessions. It still does!
