Flag of a Naval Auxiliary Vessel, dated 1967.

In wool bunting. The flag consists of a navy-blue field with a regular naval ensign in the upper left corner. Medium size, 38.5" x 26". Shows maker mark of the Galantereynaya Factory and a 1967 date of manufacture on the hoist sleeve. The sleeve material is noticeably rougher and of slightly darker grey color than that of the naval flags produced in the 1970s-80s.

The flag is overall clean having only a couple of very faint, barely noticeable water stains to the edge of the beige field near the hammer & sickle. There is an approx. 3/4-inch-long tear near the bottom, not threatening to unravel to a larger size and easy to mend if desired. The flag is almost free of noticeable moth damage, which is very uncommon of Soviet flags made of wool, especially those from the 1960s decade; there is only a single small bite to the red hammer and sickle and a couple of tiny nips elsewhere, all of them nearly unnoticeable. There is no active moth infestation. This very uncommon flag will display nicely.
