BGTO (Be Ready for Labor and Defense) Youth Physical Fitness Badge, by the Leningrad Mint, 1961 - 1972.

Brass, enamels; 27.9 x 19.5 mm. This badge is noticeably larger than the more common version of the same award and has inscription "BGTO" near the top rather than the bottom. Raised logo "LMD" of the Leningrad Mint on the reverse.

In excellent condition. The enamel is perfect and shows magnificent luster. The gilt finish is pristine and bright.
