Each issue has 32 pp. Hardcover with leatherette covering and spine. Each issue is stamped with the ink stamp of the Chelyabinsk Public Library. (As a reference point, Chelyabinsk is a large industrial and administrative regional center in Siberia, the region bordering with Kazakhstan.)

In good to very good condition. The cover did suffer a couple of minor bumps over the years but the binding is still firm and tight. The first page of issue # 6 has three top photos of the list of delegates to the Deputies of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR torn out by hand. The remaining parts of the captions under them identify them as Vyacheslav Molotov (Minister of Foreign Affairs of the fame of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and many other "fames"), Lavrentiy Beriya (NKVD, GULAG, etc.) and Andrey Zhdanov (Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR).

Through many decades of its publication, Ogonyok was one of, if not the most popular periodical magazine in the Soviet Union, loved for the diversity of the published material and, of course, the famous crossword puzzle on the last page.

Please note that the pen in our photo is for size reference.
