Both the white enamel and the beautiful multicolored enamel on the state emblem show magnificent luster.
The raised portions of the gold rays likewise appear perfect to the unaided eye and have some microscopic dings. The original fire gilt finish is fully preserved and bright. There is a very attractive dark patina to silver on the reverse. The screw post is full length, well over 14.5 mm long, and includes an original period screw plate.
