The sports club that this name was originally organized in 1936 initially as a DSO of employees of retail industry. Later, it greatly expanded by absorbing several trade union DSOs including that of college students and staff of government establishments. Unlike most other Soviet trade union sports clubs, the Bureverstnik survived the reorganization of 1957, albeit in a greatly reduced form. By the early 70s, it had become a DSO exclusively for college students and faculty.
In excellent condition. The enamel is perfect with the exception of a tiny "dimple" on the suspension device which is clearly a manufacturing
flaw, not a result of wear. The pin attachment is fully functional.
