Membership Badge of the Krasnoye Znamya ("Red Banner") Sports Club, miniature version, circa late 1930s - late 1940s.

Brass, enamels; measures 11.6 mm in diameter. Very high quality, typical of the 1940s-50s period. In excellent condition. The DSO Krasnoe Znamya was created in 1938 and originally belonged exclusively to the Trade Union of Workers of Cotton Textile Industry of Moscow, Leningrad and "New Regions". It was apparently expanded later to include most or all workers of textile industries of the USSR. The club was dissolved in 1957, although a DSO by the same name belonging to the Trade Unions of Russian Federation (RSFSR) continued to operate for decades afterwards.
