Order of the Badge of Honor, Type 3, Variation 1 "flat back", #43757, circa mid- to late-1944 issue.

Sterling silver, gilt, enamels. Measures 49.6 mm in height including the eyelet, a bit smaller than the other variations of the Type 3; 33.4 mm in width. In excellent condition. The enamel appears flawless to the unaided eye and fully retains its beautiful luster. There is a minuscule surface flake under the upper part of the first superimposed letter "C" in the "CCCP" which is practically invisible without magnification. Beside that and a few microscopic contact marks that are completely unnoticeable to the naked eye, the enamel is perfect and shows magnificent luster. The figures of workers are pristine. Very attractive dark patina to silver on the reverse.

Comes on original suspension, a WW2 double-layer model in brass with self-locking pin. The old, possibly original ribbon is extremely well preserved and clean. The connecting link appears to be original; its ends are still joined with solder in a trademark seamless manner of the Soviet mint.
