The order is in excellent condition. The enamel on both the suspension and pendant is practically pristine, has no wear visible to the naked eye and only a couple of microscopic contact marks that are not easy to find even under a 10x magnification. The details of the artwork are perfect and exceptionally crisp. Very attractive even toning to silver on both sides.
The order booklet #927680 was filled-out on 16 January 1962. It has a facsimile signature of the secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of Ukrainian SSR. The typographically printed entry specifically states that the order was issued "on behalf of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of Ukrainian SSR". The hand-written date of the bestowal of the award is 15 December 1961. Although this hard-bound document looks the same on the outside as a standard order booklet of the period, its internal pages are different, designed specifically for one of the three motherhood orders.
The document is in excellent condition. The cover is completely free of wear; the gold impression of the writing and USSR state seal is
perfect and bright. The binding is tight. The interior pages show only minimal foxing, otherwise clean and crisp.
