In bronze; measures 64.9 mm wide; weighs 151.0 g. The obverse shows national emblem of Soviet Ukraine, the building of the Supreme Soviet (Verkhovna Rada) in Kiev and Ukrainian abbreviation УРСР for Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. The reverse has inscription in Ukrainian language "Supreme Soviet of Ukrainian SSR".
The Moscow Mint medal was issued in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Soviet Rule in Ukraine (during the Russian Civil War.) Its artwork was created by Yu. Yaromenok. There was a total of just 584 piece

The Moscow Mint medal was issued in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Soviet Rule in Ukraine (during the Russian Civil War.) Its artwork was created by Yu. Yaromenok. There was a total of just 584 pieces made, a tiny number by Soviet standards. The medal was apparently awarded primarily to top VIPs invited to Kiev to celebrate the anniversary.
