Sportsman, 2nd class badge, 1950 - 1964.

In brass and enamels; 29.2 mm tall x 28.5 mm wide. The star with a running athlete is a separate superimposed part. Very well made.

In very fine condition. The red enamel has a small chip and hairline fractures on the upper left arm of the star; the damage however does not penetrate to the brass and therefore not too glaring. There are also tiny chips and flakes at the bottom edge of the blue plaque, nearly unnoticeable without magnfication. The wreath is free of significant tarnish. The screw post is full length, approx. 9.5 mm. Comes with maker marked screw plate of the MT
