Order of the Red Star, Type 6, Variation 3, Sub-variation 4 ("MZPP"), #1893668, circa late 1945.

Silver, enamels; 46.0 mm tall x 48.4 mm wide; weighs 30.3 g not including the screw plate. Relatively scarce variation made by the Moscow Platinpribor Factory (MZPP). This specimen is from the first of the two MZPP serial number ranges, 1792164 - 1949660, manufactured in the first half of 1945. Features characteristically sloppy serial number engraving and very small font of the "Monetnyi Dvor" mint mark.

In excellent condition. The enamel has only a few tiny contact marks unnoticeable without magnification; completely free of chips, flaking or any wear visible to the naked eye. T

The center medallion has a several small scratches on the background, but its raised details are extremely well preserved and crisp, nearly pristine. Very attractive toning to silver throughout. The screw post is full length, approx. 13 mm, and includes original WW2 era screw plate.
