Soviet Nautical Code Flag for Figure 8 ("Восьмерка") of Russian Nautical Code or Latin letter U ("Uniform") of the International Nautical Code, dated 1952.
In wool bunting, same quality and construction as the typical Soviet Navy ensign and other naval flags of the period. Measures approx. 29" x 23". Comes with a long attachment rope in natural hemp (as opposed to synthetic thread as seen on later Soviet flags), complete with metal hardware to hoist on the line. The hoist sleeve shows logo of the Nabivtkan Factory, quality control stamp, and a 1952 date of manufacture.
