Soviet Flag for figure 6 ("Шестерка") of Russian Nautical Code / Latin letter "O" (Oscar) of the International Nautical Code, dated 1952.
In wool bunting, same quality and construction as the typical Soviet Navy ensign and other naval flags of the period. Measures approx. 29" x 22". Comes with a long attachment rope in natural hemp (as opposed to synthetic thread as seen on later Soviet flags), complete with metal hardware to hoist on the line. The hoist sleeve shows markings of the Nabivtkan Factory, quality control stamp, and a 1952 date of manufacture.
In very good to excellent condition, free of any moth damage
or significant soiling. There are a couple of minor smudges,
apparently from storage, that may clean off. The flag is
completely sound, and the colors are bright, not showing any
fading.
