Badge of a Best Sportsman, Level 2, circa 1950s-60s.
In brass and high-quality "hot-baked" enamels. Measures 35.4 mm tall, 26.8 mm wide. The banner has Cyrillic inscription "Б.Н.М.А.У" (Mongolian People's Republic). This is an early, heavier version of the badge featuring flat reverse without a counter-relief in the center.
In excellent condition. There are a couple of tiny flakes to the green leaves at the bottom and a few contact marks to the red enamel, but the badge is free of significant wear and appears perfect to the unaided eye. The pin attachment is fully functional.
