Gilded brass, enamels; 49.1 x 27.8 mm. Fine quality badge of riveted two-piece construction. The center has Cyrillic abbreviation of the school's name in gold КХТИ ("KKhTI"). Below it is the inscription on white "Named in honor of S.M. Kirov". The USSR state seal at the top is a separate superimposed part.
In excellent condition. The enamels and gilt finish are perfect. The screw post measures 8 mm long, probably reduced by a couple of mm for convenience, but still fully functional. Includes original screw plate with mint logo.
