Jetton in Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Emancipation of Serfs, 1911 issue.

In brass, measures 30.5 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 26.2 mm in width. The jetton is of imperfect round shape with many faint ridges along the edge that are not a result of wear but rather appear to be manufacturing flaws or less likely, a design element.

The obverse features beautifully executed bas-relief portrait of Emperor Alexander II. Cyrillic letters M.H. ("MN"), the initials of the die-cutter, to the undercut of the shoulder. The reverse shows raised inscription along the edge "In Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Peasants. 1911

In excellent condition. There are no bumps or significant dings. The details are beautifully preserved on both sides. The brass has acquired attractive even patina and has only a few minor blemishes. Some of the original gilt finish is visible in recessed areas, especially around the portrait and lettering.
