Leningrad Highest Merchant Fleet Engineering Academy (LVIMU) named after Admiral Makarov, graduate badge, circa 1960s.
Brass, enamels, lacquer; 45.9 x 25.9 mm. The design of this badge is conventional for a merchant fleet school, but the execution is unusual (note for example the lacquer covering its central portion), pointing out that it was made by one of the smaller makers.
The badge is in excellent condition, with only minimal wear to enamel and details, no chips, flaking or significant scratches. The screw post is approx. 8 mm long. The screw plate may be original to the badge.
