Button for a General's or Marshal's tunic, 1940s.
In brass with steel underside painted green; approx. 24 mm in diameter. Features the state emblem with 11 republics (represented by the number of scrolls of ribbon holding the sheaves of wheat) which was used only until 1948. The back side has lightly struck "Moshtamp" markings barely visible under the paint.
In very good to excellent condition. The details of the state emblem show only very light wear, still well defined. There is light patina to brass but no heavy oxidation, some of the original gilt finish is visible. The green paint on the back shows wear bu
