Medal for the Capture of Budapest, Variation 1, circa 1945-46 issue.
In brass; measures 37.7 mm in width incl. eyelet, 32.2 mm in width; weighs 16.8 g not including the suspension and connecting link.
In very fine to excellent condition. There are some minor dings to the raised edge on the obverse; both sides otherwise have only some tiny contact marks that are nearly unnoticeable to the naked eye, no significant wear. The raised details and stippling on the background are well- preserved.
Comes on an original suspension of early post-war type, a single-layer model in brass. The well-preserved, clean vintage ribbon, although more recent

recent than the medal itself, shows evidence of use and wear. The connecting link appears to be of the period. Overall, an attractive example
of the Capture of Budapest Medal.
