Badge of a Participant of the "Health and School" Joint Conference of the Academies of Medical Science and Pedagogical Science of the USSR, Riga, Latvian SSR, 1971.

: Silver-plated brass; measures 23.5 mm wide. Excellent condition.

An interesting badge issued to a participant of the high-profile conference held jointly by the Academy of Medical Science of the USSR and the Academy of Pedagogical Science of the USSR. The event, held apparently in response to the newly passed laws concerning children's health, was attended mostly by pediatricians.
