The artwork is an offset print of an oil-on-canvas painting by A. Gulyaeva depicting the historic meeting of the Bolsheviks' Central Committee that took place on 16 (29) October 1917 in the apartment of K. Shantser at 13 Bolotnaya Street in Petrograd. Chaired by Lenin, the meeting approved the beginning of an armed revolt and founded the Military-Revolutionary Center which would lead and direct the uprising.

In very good to excellent condition. The obverse has a scratch near the upper right-hand corner which effectively blends in with the busy multi-colored palette of the painting and is not too intrusive to the eye. Tilting the postcard to reflect a bright light reveals a few hair-thin scratches on the left side but they are virtually invisible at a normal viewing angle. The verso is clean and wear-free.
