Medal for the Liberation of Prague, Variation 3 ("Voenkomat" version), circa 1970s-80s issue.
In brass; measures 37.1 mm in height incl. eyelet, 32.2 mm in width; weighs 15.8 g not including the suspension and connecting link.
Excellent condition. The medallion is completely free of noticeable wear of any kind. There is an attractive reddish patina on both sides which adds a tremendous amount of character but no blemishes or significant oxidation spots. The original "gilt" mint luster is clearly visible in recessed areas, especially on the lower part of the obverse. Overall, a very nice example of the post-war version of the Liberation of Prague Medal. Among the "Voenkomat" campaign medal issues, it is one of the scarcest.
