Silver gilt, enamels; 46.6 x 26.1 mm; weighs 17.9 g not including the screw plate; four-piece construction. Type 2 badge featuring a rivet attachment of the star (as opposed to the wires as on Type 1) and a square retaining nut at the base of the screw post.
In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel exhibits a beautiful luster and appears practically perfect to the unaided eye. There is a thin vertical scratch to the white enamel on the right side, but it is nearly unnoticeable without magnification; the enamel is otherwise free of any detectable wear.

The details of the state emblem are perfect and exceptionally crisp; its original gold plating is extremely well-preserved. There is an attractive even patina to silver on both sides of the badge. The screw post is full length, nearly 9 mm measured from its square base, and includes an original screw plate with the mint logo.
