Single page 8 ½" x 11 ¾", front only. The artwork under the header "Honorary Citation of the Central Committee of the All-Union Lenin's Young Communists League" symbolizes the facets of the country's economy and military might where Komsomol made a major contribution by participation and achievements. Single page 8 ½" x 11 ¾", front only. The artwork under the header "Honorary Citation of the Central Committee of the All-Union Lenin's Young Communists League" symbolizes the facets of the country's economy and military might where Komsomol made a major contribution by participation and achievements. The textual part of the citation is decorated with an early version of the Komsomol membership badge, the design of which was just introduced in 1944 and had not even been minted until 1945. The text cites Red Navy Sailor Arkadiy Vinogradov for good work in mobilizing Komsomol members to participate in combat missions on the front lines of the fight against the German invaders. The citation is sealed with the ink stamp of the Central Committee of the All-Union Lenin's Young Communists Leage and bears the signature of its secretary.

In good to very good condition. Moderate foxing is evident; the center fold shows minor separations on both sides which have been reinforced with clear tape on the verso. Wear to the edges and corners is mild and not very intrusive to the eye. The colors of the graphics, the ink of the handwritten text, stamp and signature are bright and vibrant, and perfectly legible.

Overall, an impressive and rather scarce wartime military citation issued to a Navy sailor by the top-level organ of Komsomol.

Please note that the pen in our photo is for size reference.
