Military Academy graduate badge, 1970s-80s.
Brass gilt, silver plating, enamels; 46.6 x 26.8 mm. Riveted three-piece construction, fine quality. There is a raised late-style logo of the Moscow Mint on the reverse.
In excellent, near mint condition. The enamel is flawless, completely free of even the microscopic contact marks that could be found under a 10x magnification. The gilt finish on the state emblem is pristine and exceptionally bright. The screw post is full length, approx. 9.5 mm, and includes an original mint-marked screw plate. Overall, a superb example, literally impossible to upgrade.

This badge came to replace the late 1950s version of the "unified" military academy badge in solid silver. This is the official, mint-made
version awarded to all students upon graduation (as opposed to additional graduation badges that were often privately commissioned and
purchased by the graduates with their own money.)
