The absence of the flagpole finial on the banner is also characteristic of the early issues of the Stalin Shock Worker badge. Note the low serial number.
In very fine to excellent condition, outstanding for the early issue. The enamel on the banner is perfect, completely free of the typical wear or damage and displaying a beautiful luster. Raised details of the locomotive are likewise perfect, completely free of detectable wear - including the clearly visible raised inscription "Stalin" on the front. There are some tiny, barely noticeable flakes and hairlines on the red star, barely noticeable to the naked eye.
The wires are intact, and the parts of the badge are joined perfectly tight. The screw post is of full length, over 10 mm. The badge comes with the original washer in brass-plated steel and a very scarce original screw plate marked "IZO Cooperative, Leningrad."
Overall, a beautifully preserved early railroad award.
