Military Photo ID Certificate of Release from Military Duty, issued on 18 March 1958 to Sr. Sgt. Alexey Leontyev, a WW2 vet who had served as a reconnaissance man & machine gun squad leader.

Measures 3" x 4", in thin cardboard covers. The ID certifies that Leontyev is thereby released from military duty and should be taken off military reserve rosters as per Group III (reserve officers), article 28-b of the Ministry of Defense list of medical conditions. The last five pages of the ID tell us that Leontyev fought in the Patriotic War from August 1941 to May 1945 as a recon man and machine gun squad leader, stayed on active duty as NCO until May 1946, and did not get wounded even once.

In very good to excellent condition. The covers show mild to moderate wear
