Real Photo Postcard Showing Two Red Army Railway Troops Servicemen, 8 August 1920.
The size is standard 3 ½" x 5 ½", printed on cardboard matte photo paper. The verso is lined to be used as a postcard. In the image, we see two Red Army servicemen in identical uniforms. The Railroad Troops sleeve patch is clearly visible on one of the tunics. The inscription on the verso reads "From Friend to Friend on the Western Front, Moscow, 8 August 1920." True to the Bolshevik trend of the time to abbreviate everything and chain abbreviations, the last two "words" can probably be understandable only to those two friends. The verso shows only the oval stamp of the photo studio. <
