Breast Star. Silver gilt, enamels, 77.9 mm in height, 78.0 mm in width, 61.8 mm vertical pinback, weighs 78.5 g. Near-mint condition, no wear visible to the naked eye.
Sash Badge. Silver gilt, enamels, approx. 93 mm in height including the crown suspension, 54.1 mm in width, weighs 49.2 g. Marked "40/1" on the reverse of the crown suspension. In near-mint condition, no wear visible to the naked eye.
The Sash. In silk, appears to be original but looking like it has never been worn. Completely clean and wear-free.

The Issue Box. In light wood bound in high-quality carmine leatherette, with beveled lid and bottom. Measures 30 cm x 17.5 cm x 5 cm. Removable fitted pad is finished in eggshell-colored short-pile velvet, with ample space under it for the sash. The inside of the lid is lined with padded silvery- white silk. The lid outside is decorated with the Garuda, the national emblem of Thailand, in gold leaf. In excellent condition, minimal storage wear to the leatherette on the bottom. Both hinges are tight and strong. The two latches are in perfect working order.
The Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant was established in 1861 by King Rama IV of the Kingdom of Siam. It is awarded to government
officials for five years of distinguished service, thus making it Thailand's most-commonly awarded order. Type 3 was instituted in 1941 and is
currently constituted.
