Volleyball Player, statuette in Silumin, by Murzin, dated 1978.
Very large, standing nearly 13 inches tall; the plinth is 3 ¼" x 2 ¾" x 1". Weighs over 2.5 lbs. The sculptor's name and year are impressed into the metal on the left side of the plinth. The figure of the athlete is finely sculpted and full of dynamism.
In excellent condition: no scratches, dints, or scuffs; just a few random tiny oxidation spots and a spot of tarnish at the athlete's right clavicle. The wear is virtually lost in the bright slivery luster of the alloy.
